Grammy Award-winning artist Van Morrison has enjoyed a stellar music career for more than six decades. The legendary rocker who has written and performed iconic classic hits, “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Here Comes the Night,” “Gloria,” and more, shows no signs of stopping touring and making new music despite his lengthy tenure.
Morrison, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, has released 43 studio albums and 80 highly-acclaimed singles. The Songwriters Hall of Fame also recognized him as “one of the most important songwriters of the past century.” Moreover, some professional critics have referred to him as a musical genius. Morrison, aptly also known as Van the Man, has sold more than 16 million albums worldwide. Meanwhile, his best-selling record, a compilation titled The Best of Van Morrison, sold over six million copies.
Indeed, Morrison has come a long way since the release of his biggest pop hit, “Brown Eyed Girl,” which was featured in his debut album Blowin’ Your Mind!
