This 3-star hotel is closest to The Mountain Winery, at 1.1 miles. It’s situated on Highway 9 (Big Basin Way), not far from Pierce Road. It offers 24 air-conditioned rooms on two floors, including suites and bungalows. Prices currently start at $168, which includes free parking, WiFi and breakfast. No pets are allowed, except service animals.

The Inn at Saratoga, Tapestry Collection

The next closest hotel is 1.2 miles away on the same road, and is a 3-star Hilton franchise property. It’s a very highly rated, upscale hotel, with easy access to woods and gardens. The hotel offers 47 rooms and suites on five floors, with free WiFi and parking. The Inn has a lounge bar and restaurant, for breakfast and dinner only, and is pet friendly (fee payable). Current rates start at $263.

Little Paradise, Saratoga

A little further off, at 3.5 miles, is the Little Paradise Guest House. It accommodates just six guests, and you have to stay a minimum of two nights. It’s a nice spot for a weekend away, with one large luxury suite featuring a sauna, garden and deck. Current prices are in the $500-600 range, for two nights.

If you’re staying in Saratoga, you’ll find three restaurants along Big Basin Way, convenient for the hotels.

The Hero Ranch Kitchen offers farm to table meals. The menu relies heavily on meat and fish, with a few salads. It’s a favorite with Bay Area residents, who love its great service and top quality ingredients.

There are also two mid-range Italian restaurants on this road:
Pasta Armellino is a bit more adventurous, with Italian-California fusion dishes. It’s a local franchise, set in a modern, large space that’s suitable for large parties.
Bella Saratoga is almost the opposite, serving Italian classics in a restored Victorian house. It has a more intimate vibe and offers weekend brunch.

The Mountain Winery: Local Attractions

The Mountain Winery is a local attraction in itself! All around it are vineyards, redwood trees and state parks where you can hike and picnic. Saratoga is a lovely historical village, with parks and a museum. You can also visit the Hakone Estate and Gardens, an 18-acre traditional Japanese garden. A little further south is Villa Montalvo, offering a park and arts center.
