It is an understatement to say that The Temptations has a phenomenal career. Their six decades in music have resulted in 43 studio albums, 37 Top 40 singles, four number 1 singles, 16 gold albums, and five platinum-certified efforts. The group has already received numerous accolades, including three Grammy Awards, A Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, and then the Vocal Group Hall of Fame ten years later. To this day, the group remains a prolific force in music and continues to tour around the world.

The Temptations are a vocal group that took over three decades with fantastic music. During the ‘60s, they belted out “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” “My Girl,” “Get Ready,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” and “Beauty is Only Skin Deep.” During the ‘70s, they dropped several platinum-certified singles, such as “Ball of Confusion (that’s What the World Is Today,” “Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me),” and “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone.” By the ‘80s, The Temptation has absolutely proved their longevity with hits like “Power,” “Standing on the Top,” and “Treat Her Like a Lady.”

In 1965, the group made an immediate breakthrough with their self-titled debut album. The record peaked at number 63 on the Billboard 200 and topped the R&B chart.
